Mrs. Amy Perry » Welcome!

Welcome!

I am the newest, proudest member of your Campus School family! I am absolutely thrilled to join Campus School as a first grade teacher and would like to convey how precious and amazing I believe these children are. It is a great privilege to teach, mold, and shape the hearts and minds of students. My utmost goal this year is to help develop the confidence, esteem, and mindset of each of our children so that they continue their journey in both school and life as learners that love the process and challenge of problem- solving. Thinking critically and considering our impact on the people and the world around us is the most valuable and critical skill we will work on. Well, that along with reading, writing, math, science, and social studies! :)

I am the proud mother of two amazing boys: Alexander and William. They are 12 and 10, respectively. We are a busy, active family and when I am not preparing an exciting, engaging learning experience for your child, I am usually toting these boys to a sporting event or a music lesson! I could not manage any of this without the tremendous support of my dear husband of 15 years, Stephen.

We are going to have so much fun learning this year! We will focus on being positive in all that we do and I look forward to sharing this time with your students!
Please never hesitate to contact me at: perrya@rcschools.net

First Week of First Grade!

Hello All,
As we finish this first week of first grade, I must tell you how beside myself with joy I am over our class! We have a very, very intelligent and friendly bunch who love to learn! This week was all about routines and procedures for our day and it went great!
We will begin binders next week and I will be contacting volunteers to help on Monday to assemble these for our kids. These will be reviewed and discussed at parent night which is Tuesday, August 15th from 5:30-6:30pm. All volunteers will be contacted this weekend to arrange a consistent schedule for your help, which I cannot express enough gratitude for!
Dojo is our primary form of communication. We will use it to stay in touch with you about what we are doing, how we are doing, and we will also begin to upload our best work in our individual "stories" which you will be able to comment on and "like". The kids LOVE it!
The agendas do not need to be signed but will have information and topics that I would like the students to talk to you about! You will see clue words that should remind them about what they should discuss with you!
Finally, Smart Card sales have officially begun. Forms went home today and we will try to be the highest selling class in K-2! :) A form also went home today about lunch on the day of the eclipse. Please return so that our cafeteria can properly prepare for the students. We will NOT go to MTSU but WILL celebrate and participate here at school!
I can be reached via email or dojo if you have any questions or concerns. I have enjoyed my first week at Campus School tremendously and am looking forward to next week!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Perry
